If your dog has mastered Urban Obedience and you’re eager to push their skills further, then Advanced Urban Obedience is the next step in your training journey!

In this 6-week course, we’ll take your dog’s abilities to new heights by working in dynamic, real-world environments that challenge their focus, adaptability, and obedience. Get ready to tackle distractions in exciting new locations, where your dog will need to stay sharp, composed, and engaged.

Here’s the fun part: we’ll even head to a dog-friendly cafe or restaurant where your dog will get to show off their polite manners in public, making you proud every step of the way!

We'll focus on:

Prolonging their stay in various environments
Improving recall even with distractions
Refining leash manners for confident, controlled walks

At the end of the course, your dog will have the opportunity to test for the AKC Urban Canine Good Citizen certification and, if needed, the Canine Good Citizen test as well!

Class Details:

You must have taken Urban Obedience and demonstrated the ability to perform the foundational skills taught in that class PRIOR to being eligible for enrollment into Advanced. If you have taken classes somewhere else and feel your dog possess the skills for Advanced class, please reach out to schedule an evaluation.
Our classes are run on a positive reinforcement platform; therefore, the use of e-collars during class or outside of class while enrolled in any of our programs is strictly prohibited.
Vaccination Requirements: Proof of current Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella.
Equipment Needed by First Day of Class: Treat bag and 6ft leash.
Cost: $225 for 6 weeks
Class size: Limited to 4 dogs and 2 handlers to ensure personalized attention and support
Children participating as handlers must be 12 years or older (unless you have prior approval) and must stay under the control of the parent or guardian at all times.

Important Notice:
This class is not suitable for dogs with a history of leash reactivity or aggression towards people, other dogs, or animals. If you are facing challenges in these areas, I would be more than happy to assist you in addressing them. I encourage you to schedule an in-home consultation, where we can develop a personalized training plan to help your dog make progress in a safe and effective manner.

Spring 2025 Waiting List

Class Requirements:

You must provide proof your dog has completed the Urban Obedience course, or be able to demonstrate to the trainer that your dog has the skills needed prior to enrollment.
Dog must be current on DHPP, Bordetella, and Rabies.
Class is limited to 2 handlers per dog. Children attending as the second handler must be 12 years of age or older, unless approved prior to the classes start date.
You will need to bring a 6ft leash, and treat bag to class.
Dogs with a history of reactivity towards people and/or other dogs may only attend with prior trainer approval.
